Broth, also known as stock is an almost clear liquid, very light in both colour and flavour.  It is rich in protein and thin in texture.  It is made by cooking the bones of meat, fish or poultry, allowing the rich minerals to be extracted into the liquid broth.

  1. Put everything into the pressure cooker and cook for 2 hours. If you are making the traditional way (stock pot on a hob), then you will need more vegetables, seasoning and allow 4 hours for the flavours to really impart into the liquid.
Recipe Notes

Once cooled, you can store for several days in the fridge.  For the long-term, perfect for freezing.  Will keep 3 - 6 months in the freezer.
